U. S. Steel has an immediate opening for a SOA 11g/WebLogic administrator within its IT infrastructure organization located in Pittsburgh, PA. The associated duties, involving server-based software support, would include the responsibilities listed below.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Supporting multiple Oracle Fusion Middleware environments, including troubleshooting issues with Oracle SOA 11g Suite, WebLogic JVMs, OSB, and WebLogic Clustering

Supporting other 3rd-party server software products on Unix, Linux, and Windows server platforms

Installing, upgrading, and patching of designated server-based software

Interaction with application groups, software vendor support, and infrastructure support to troubleshoot problems and resolve software-related system issues

Developing test plans, system documentation, and disaster recovery planning for designated software systems

Conducting compliance reviews for proposed or changing application systems.

On-call responsibilities

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

Minimum of one year of experience in SOA 11g on WebLogic, or similar technologies such as IBM SOA on WebSphere.
Minimum of one year of experience with Linux
Extensive computer skills with Microsoft Office products
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Aptitude for quickly learning complex technical systems
Ability to multitask and set priorities
Strong troubleshooting skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with Oracle Databases and/or Oracle E-Business Suite
Experience in application programming (.NET and JAVA) and networking is advantageous
Experience with shell and Jython scripting

EDUCATION:
Bachelor?s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent area
