May 95 – Sep 97 Electronic Data Systems (EDS) – Government Information Services
Senior System Analyst; Use OOA/OOD techniques as technical lead maintaining Intelligent Computer Aided Detection II (ICAD II). Multithreaded C++ law enforcement system on OS/2 with named pipe communications, Soundblaster/voice alarms, OS/2 Presentation Manager GUI, graphical data analysis, integrated imbedded oracle 7 SQL, DB logical and physical design with ER modeling to move from flat file to oracle DB data sources.

Computer Program Analyst; Upgraded COBOL use of imbedded oracle, SQL tuning, improved maintainability, readability, and documentation. Make hard copy cost tracking reports using oracle v6 report writing facilities in Data General’s AOS/VS Eclipse 9500 environment. My system analysis, SQL and DB tuning decreased payroll runtime by over 50% and eliminated error recovery time for production runs. Successfully re-wrote a dysfunctional payroll program, and saved our users all the time spent working around prior dysfunction. Generated normalized data model for payroll function distinct from child tracking function along with a transitional plan for implementation.
